TechTrex Inc. announced today that it is the exclusive Japanese licensing agent for Smart Chip Technologies' (SCTN) patent-protected Smart Rewards Management System. Smart Chip Technologies (OTC: SCTN) is a software technology company launching its next generation, end-to-end loyalty solution in Japan, and owner of the Japanese "gateway" patent No. 3416141 (the '141 patent) issued in June 2003.

Smart Chip Technologies is, through its patented process, technology, and business affiliations, the foundation for Loyalty Programs driven and managed by customer carried devices.

The '141 patent and related patents in the United States, Australia, Mexico, and Canada disclose and claim a method for allocating and redeeming incentive credits between a portable device and a base device. Furthermore, SCTN's technology-independent business process patent covers any loyalty transaction event regardless of its occurrence in the life cycle of the transaction.
