ConverTrex SP1 Certified by Paymentech ConverTrex enables cost-effective Internet point-of-sale transactions


TechTrex Inc. announced today that it has completed certification for its ConverTrex SP1 IP enablement device for communication with Paymentech's NetConnect secure gateway. NetConnect enables merchants with Internet connectivity, such as DSL / Cable or a LAN, to securely process point-of-sale transactions via the public Internet. This eliminates the expense of dial phone lines while providing lightning fast authorizations. The ConverTrex is certified for use with Paymentech's VeriFone 3200 Retail/Petroleum application, as well as certain integrated POS systems.

The TechTrex ConverTrex SP1 is a powerful system using a 32-bit RISK processor that will secure transactions with full 128-bit SSL encryption. ConverTrex connects to your existing POS terminal and/or cash register system to communicate securely over the Internet at a fraction of the cost of a new IP terminal. In comparison to dial communication, transaction response times are reduced from 15-20 seconds down to 3-5 seconds. ConverTrex also offers features such as easy configuration, full remote management and a secure firewall for additional security.

The ConverTrex is the only hardware converter system certified with the major processor Internet gateways, and we are pleased to add Paymentech to the list. By simply connecting the ConverTrex to the serial port of a point-of-sale terminal or integrated cash register, merchants can eliminate the expense of costly dedicated phone lines. We provide the full benefits of an IP terminal for transaction communication, while allowing merchants to leverage their investment in their existing POS equipment.
